Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu turns into peacemaker as rift between AP and Telangana governments is widening daily. Offering olive branch, Yanamala said, “Instead of taking on each other, let’s call for truce. It’s high time we should sit and reach a mutual agreement. The representatives of both the governments should do it and discuss. If we fail (in resolving issues amicably), then Centre is anyhow there. Finally, courts are there.”
Yanamala said that AP Government is always coming to fore to resolve issues related to both states in the interests of Telugu-speaking people in both States. He recalled that Chandra Babu Naidu has earlier sent several invitations to KCR but in vain. The differences between the two states on multiple issues include students tuition fees reimbursement, admissions to engineering and other professional colleges and sharing of electricity. Meanwhile, the latest one issue brewing is assigning key powers to Governor following AP Reorganization Act 2013.
