Jai Samayikya Andhra Party Khammam MP candidate, Nagarjuna was attacked a short while ago. Unidentified people pelted stones on his car in Madhira, Khammam district. They even shouted Kiran Kumar Reddy and Nagarjuna as Traitors to Telangana and urged him to go back. Khammam district is low on Telangana sentiment if the situation there is like this, you can imagine the ground reality in other Telangana districts.

Now the interesting question is can Jagan Mohan Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy who batted for United Andhra Pradesh to campaign in the ten districts of Telangana. Both Jai Samayikya Andhra Party and YSR Congress Party fielded handful of candidates in Telangana. However, some analysts say these kind of attacks may benefit the parties in Hyderabad where settlers are high. The sympathy wave created due to such attack may help in increasing votes in the settlers’ areas.
