Soon after the division of the state, TDP President CBN is trying to save the party in Telangana in various ways. TDP has very strong cadre in the region. CBN has paid more attention in SA elections which is his native bastion. Yes! TDP performance is not so encouraging in SA Municipal elections at the same time not to worse in Telangana.

As per internal discussions that TDP leaders are satisfied with Telangana Municipal election results. TDP was gained majority in 9 Municipalities out of 53 total Municipalities in Telangana. Along with BJP, TDP bags another 2 Municipalities. TDP is in selection of Chairman Candidates in these Municipalities. TDP fails to perform in North Telangana and did moderate job in South Telangana in Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar and Ranga Reddy districts.

The great sign of relief for TDP cadre is Gajwel Municipality. TRS President KCR is contesting for Assembly from this segment. TDP showed its dominance in this Municipality that gave shocks to TRS. KCR has tried many attempts for not missing Gajwel but fails to do so. TDP Pratap Reddy ground work in this segment with the help of TDP cadre helps TDP to win the Municipality. TDP leaders are internally agreed that the political atmosphere not encouraging to TDP in Telangana but TDP managed to win Municipalities in some districts.
