KCR is all set to take oath as the first Chief Minister of Telangana, India’s 29th State. While he is going to swear-in at 8.15 AM at Raj Bhavan today, one thing has become talk of town in TRS political circles. Although dignitaries, cutting across fields and regions, have been invited to the grand gala ceremony, one man has not been invited. Saina Nehwal, Pullela Gopichand, CII too have got personal invitations from KCR. Yet the man who has played instrumental role in the formation of Telangana State didn’t get invite. It’s none other than Telangana Joint Action Committee convener Prof. Kodandaram.
This is certainly shocker to many. Going into details, differences between KCR and Kodandaram is said to be the reason behind not inviting the latter. Whatever may be the reasons, given that new State is formed and he is going to be first CM, it’s high time KCR must let bygones be bygones. He should offer olive branch to his counterpart Chandra Babu Naidu as well and move forward peacefully. KCR should reconcile and at least now should invite him over phone. It’s better late than never.
