Seemandhra goons out to go on rampage in HYD

TRS senior leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao has said the Seemandhra goons and police might try to provoke Telangana people on the occasion of APNGOs’ meeting to be held on September 7 at LB Stadium.

Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan here on Friday, Harish Rao appealed to the people of the region to remain calm despite provocations. He feared that while the Kiran Kumar Reddy government would definitely create hurdles by putting up barricades, fencing, resorting to lathi-charge and filing of cases and bind-overs and at the same time it would spread red carpet for the Seemandhra meeting.

Harish Rao said he came to know that already a large number of Rayalaseema rowdies, Bezawada goondas and factionists have arrived in Hyderabad in the name of “Save Andhra Pradesh” meeting and were camping at farm houses located on the outskirts of Hyderabad. He demanded that the State government take them into custody immediately.

Alleging that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was making provocative speeches to abort Telangana State formation, the TRS leader charged the former with behaving like a chief minister of 13 districts of Seemandhra region. He said there was a need to the chief secretary to convey the real facts to the Union Home Ministry. He also alleged that the APNGOs’ meeting was conceived by Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy. He also alleged that the university campuses in the Telangana region have turned into police camps on the eve of APNGOs meeting in Hyderabad. He demanded that the government deploy huge number of para-military forces near the campuses.
