The greatest maxim you can ever hear about cricket is “If Cricket is a religion then Sachin is God”. Yes, that’s the passion and affection many of us cricket lovers have towards master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. While he remained a gentleman on the field, he is noble enough off it too.

Though he is from Maharashtra, Sachin adopted the Puttamraju Kandriga village in Nellore district and development initiatives have already begun there. Recently, megastar Chiranjeevi has done something similar by adopting the Perupalem village in Mogaltur mandal.

Well, it is a personal choice of these powerful men to adopt any place as per PM Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Saansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana’. But a few are asking something interesting, they say since Sachin has come from Maharashtra and adopted a place in AP, will anyone from AP or Telangana go to Maharashtra and adopt a village? That remains to be seen.
