After flexing his muscles against Ram Charan as Ranadev Billa in Magadheera, Dev Singh Gill has now joined the cast of Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Lingaa. Dev has confirmed his inclusion in the film and also revealed that he will be appearing in pivotal role in the sequences set in pre-independence era in the film. Dev said, “I have worked with many stars till date. But acting with Rajinikanth is the best opportunity in my career. I have learnt the importance of understanding others from Rajini sir who is a simple and grounded person.”

Being shot with a Red Dragon 6K camera, Lingaa was shot in locales in Karnataka like Melukote, Manuvana, Pandavapura, Chamundi Hills and the residential portion of Mysore Palace. Rajinikanth and Anushka Shetty shot some scenes dating back to the British era in front of the illuminated residential portion of the palace. Horses were used for the shot. Over 50 policemen and 30 bouncers had been deployed to prevent people from getting near the shooting area in Mysore.The film is directed by KS Ravi Kumar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty are pairing up with Rajini. Lingaa is expected to release on this Diwali.
