Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao today hailed the former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao as a victim of the land reforms he initiated in the country which went against the landed gentry and slammed the detractors who had deliberately denigrated the statesman who put India on the Reform map of the world.

KCR said the Telangana Govt will set up a statue of PV in Hyderabad, a district to be named after PV, and also a University after PV besides a memorial for PV at Delhi in a grand scale to offer a fitting tribute to his contributions to the country. The TRS government has already declared PV birthday celebrations as an official state event. Governor ESL Narasimhan and KCR paid rich tributes to PV at a memorial meeting held at PV Janmabhoomi on Necklace road.
