Ever since BJP announced Jagga Reddy as its candidate for the Medak Lok Sabha bypoll, speculations are rife that actor-Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan would be behind this curcial decision. Rumours have it that Pawan had referred the name of Jagga Reddy in his recent meeting with BJP’s chief Amit Shah in Hyderabad.
 
Although the names of Padmini Reddy, wife of fromer Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarsimha and BJP leader Anji Reddy were considered, BJP top brass has finally voted for Jagga Reddy for the reasons better known to them. TDP too given its consent to back the candidature of Jagga Reddy.
 
It may be recalled that Pawan had once publicly stated that he “likes” former Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy very much for his “firm stance” in the issue of bifurcation of the state unlike others who often changes stances. Also Jagga Reddy is not new to BJP and RSS as he started his political journey from BJP. So, all these factors might have worked in favour of him. Let’s wait and see whether Pawan Kalyan would campaign for Jagga Reddy or not.
