India’s 15th Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had an interesting conversation when they met after the historic swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday.

Narendra Modi: “When he was eating with his Mother he saw visuals on TV of my Mother offering me sweets. The visuals touched both Nawaz Sharif ji & his Mother. He told me that after seeing the visuals his Mother got very emotional”.

Nawaz Sharif also told to Modi that he goes to meet his mother once in a week even though he stays in Islamabad. That shows the bonding they share!

Before leaving to New Delhi for his swearing-in ceremony, Narendra Modi seeked the blessings of his mother Hiraben (95) at her home in Gandhinagar. The doting mom did feed his son who was Prime Minister in waiting with sweets and offered him Rs 101. This moment touched the hearts of millions of people across the World!

Hiraben couldn’t travel to Delhi for the swearing-in ceremony because of age factor. She, however, watched the event live on TV from her residence in Gandhinagar.
