Taking financial status of the new state of Andhra Pradesh into account, its Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu seems to have realized the need to take tough decisions. In this regard, Naidu has reportedly told authorities to hold the payment of pending bills.
Chief Secretary of AP, IVR Krishna Rao has issued notices to all departments under State government. As per the notification, except the salaries and pensions of employees, payments of all other projects, schemes will be be kept in hold. According to reports, the pending payments would account for a whopping Rs 4500 Crore. Until Chandra Babu’s fresh orders, the payments will be kept in hold, confide higher authorities.
With this, all government transactions, except salaries and pensions, will come to a grinding halt.
