Prince Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar were blessed with a daughter on Friday morning. Namrata gave birth to the girl at a hospital in Somajiguda at 8-15 am, said sources. Both the mother and daughter are hale and healthy, according to family sources.
The family is elated that that the girl was born on the first Friday of the auspicious month Sravana, the month dearest to the heart of Lakshmi, Goddess of wealth and abundance. More over, Goddess Lakshmi also is fond of Friday, and devotees offer Pujas to her on this particular day. Scriptures say that Sri Maha Vishnu was born under the star Sravana and hence his spouse Lakshmi likes the month so much. The couple have a four-year-old son Gautam Krishna.
