Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu is gearing up for release in September last week. His next film, directed by Koratala Shiva will be targeting the summer season next year. So Mahesh Babu being very busy with these films couldn’t accommodate dates to Mani Ratnam’s film. Although Mahesh is a big fan of Mani, he couldn’t take the risk of putting other films at stake for the sake of starring in a Mani Ratnam’s film.
Mahesh Babu earlier missed out Snehithudu, a remake of 3 Idiots, despite Shankar’s repeated requests. Mahesh did Dookudu, SVSC and Businessman during that time and he was happy to miss out on a Shankar’s film. We all know even Mani Ratnam takes his own time to wrap up a film.
Mahesh can easily fit in two or three films during that period. He had already suffered a flop due to an experimental film with Sukumar. His fans are merry about Mahesh stepping out of Mani’s film for the same reason. Let’s see if Mahesh could have another streak of hits for losing out an opportunity to star under Mani Ratnam.
