KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana state, and Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, are included in the list politicians with criminal cases.

The study and news analysis by the Association of Democratic Reforms has listed 44 of the 194 cabinet ministers from 13 assemblies of having criminal records and cases hoisted or pending against them.

While in case of Chandrababu Naidu it is the Yeleru scam, liquor scam and also the recent Vijayamma complaint and subsequent CBI case. In case of KCR there were cases of fund raising and five petitions pending against him for wealth using his office as Labor minister in UPA-1.

The study shows that 23 % of state ministers and 27 percent of union ministers had self-declared criminal cases against themselves.
