Nithiin and Venky Kudumula Reunite for Action-Adventure “Robinhood”

Posted : April 16, 2024 at 6:39 pm IST by ManaTeluguMovies

The successful team of Nithiin and director Venky Kudumula, who collaborated on the hit film “Bheeshma,” are gearing up for another exciting project titled “Robinhood.” Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the production has unveiled a title glimpse and a few posters to pique audience interest.

Nithiin takes on the lead role of a maverick robber who targets the wealthy, stealing money and gold. The film’s narrative remains under wraps, but the title and the makers’ previous work suggest a potentially action-packed and entertaining adventure.

Initially, Rashmika Mandanna was cast as the female lead. However, due to undisclosed reasons, she exited the project. Industry buzz suggests that Raashi Khanna has stepped in to fill the vacancy. This casting choice is particularly noteworthy as Khanna has faced a string of unsuccessful Telugu films recently, and her Hindi venture “Yodha” also underperformed. Her upcoming Tamil horror film “Aranmanai 4” offers a chance to break the streak, and fans are hopeful that “Robinhood” will mark a similar turning point. Notably, Nithiin and Khanna previously co-starred in “Srinivasa Kalyanam,” but the film failed to resonate with audiences.

While initial reports linked actress Sreeleela to the role, the latest news confirms Raashi Khanna’s involvement. The supporting cast boasts familiar names like Vennela Kishore and Rajendra Prasad, adding further weight to the production.

Music for “Robinhood” is composed by the talented GV Prakash Kumar, with Sai Sriram serving as the cinematographer. Prawin Pudi takes on the editing responsibilities. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, the film promises to be a high-octane action-adventure with a touch of mystery. With the successful pairing of Nithiin and Venky Kudumula at the helm, “Robinhood” is already generating considerable anticipation among fans.
