The Centre has commenced  search  for a new capital  to Andhra or Samaikhyandra  .   five search  team  of  global  consultancies ahve landed in special charter aircrats and been scouting for land, water, power  and human resources  quotient for the new capital  . Directly  supervised by  Urban Surface Ministry  the centre has  involved  three Malaysian and one Chineese  consultant group in addition to L&T.

The popular  option is  Vijayawada-Mangalagiri-Guntur-Tenali  circuit  with over   5000 acres of vacant  government land available in one lot near Mangalagiri and another three bits of  2000 acres near Tenali and Vijaayawada. The initial lay out  will begin  by September  and the consultancy have been granted  Rs.100 crore  get  full bodied  work. designs, set up offices  and also work liason with Governments  and assist in legal works . Other locations  scouted  were  Ongole-Martur , Vizag-Bheemunipatnam ,  Kurnool-Nandyal

A senior consultant of the L&T , one of the consultants, said they were given free hand  by Governments andgood  fee as well .All the five  groups ahve to give a presentation to Government  at Delhi  within  30  days and  the bidder  should also commence  building  room models   by next month .According to  sources  the budget for new capital varies  from Rs.20,000  crore  to Rs.50,000  crore  . ‘ It  is definitely not  Rs.4 lakh crore  as  said  by Chandrababu Naidu’ says  a consultant.
