District-Wise Sops in Andhra Pradesh

In an attempt to persuade the people of North Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, who lost the race in battle for the Capital, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu heaped Sops on the 13 districts of the state and assured a decentralised development. Along with 3 Mega Cities (Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati) and 14 Smart Cities, Mr Naidu has announced a hardware and electronics park for every district of the residue state. What’s more? Industrial corridors will be spread across 12 districts with eight cluster nodes. Mr Naidu promised a mega food park in every district of the state whereas Metro Rails are confined to three Mega cities viz. Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati. And as announced before, 14 airports will be developed in the 13 districts of the State.

Naidu, who spoke at length and in-depth on Thursday in Legisltaive House, floored one and all with his comprehensive research, studies of conditions, potential and growth patterns of each district. Naidu’s expertise and vision is visibly seen in his speech. Being a Master at Economics (MA Economics from SVU), Naidu formulated district plans to improve the economy and GSDP of each district.

Visakhapatnam: Mega City, International Airport, Industrial Corridor, Metro Rail, IIM, Mega IT Hub, Electronic Production Centre, Innovation & Incubation Hub, Food Park, Exhibition & Convention Centre and Railway Zone.

Vizianagaram: Green Field Airport, New Industrial City, Completion of Thotapalli reservoir within 1 year, Food Park, Tribal University, Hardware Park, Port, Music Academy and Medical College.

Srikakulam: New Industrial City, Port in Bhavanapadu, Development of Kalingapatnam Port, New Airport, Smart City, Food Park, Construction of projects on Vamsadara-Naagavali, Open University, Electronic, Hardware Park.

East Godavari: Petroleum University, Port, Electronic Hardware Park, VIIC Corridor, Visakha Chennai Industrial Corridor, Telugu University, Rajahmundry and Kakinada as Smart Cities, Food Park, Tourism, SNG Terminal, Aqua Culture and Processing Unit, Rajahmundry as IT Hub.
