TRS Government on its way to shelve Dummugudem Tail Pond Project. It was constructed across the Godavari River in Khammam district. This is major lift irrigation Scheme is under development drawing water from the barrage. KCR has strongly believed that this will become useless for Telangana state.

AP Government was already spending 1600 crores of amounts on this project. YS Jagan wants to use this as Political opportunity for his come back into Telangana politics. YSRCP has rooted out in General elections from the region after changing its stand on Telangana. Except in Khammam district, party fails to do good performance in Telangana. Now YSRCP wants to raise Dummugudem as State issue to take grip on Telangana. YSRCP is against to cancellation of this project and wants to continue after making changes in its Design.

YSRCP demands by changing the design of this irrigation project, Illendu and Wyra Segments would beneficial in Khammam district. CPI(M) also joined with YSRCP in this agitation. Instead of transferring Surplus Godavari water to Krishna River, YSRCP and CPM believes to use this for cultivation in Khammam district. How much Jagan will get success in his second innings in Telangana?
