It was not a regular day for former Union Minister Dr Dasari Narayana Rao. His residence was raided today by the CBI in connection with the coal scam issue. He was the Union Minister for Coal from 2004 to 2008. Sources inform that Dasari was questioned some months ago regarding this issue by the CBI. Dasari was interrogated by the CBI today and his residence was searched. Dasari’s name has been registered in the FIR filed by the CBI yesterday. FIR has been registered against MP Naveen Jindal and his company Jindal Steel & Power Ltd along with Dasari. The raid is supposedly happening at 15 places in Delhi and Hyderabad.
Dasari Narayana Rao off late has became silent in Politics and is concentrating more on movie making. His next movie Vaddi Kasula Vaadu in which he plays a peon in Chief Minister’s office went on floors recently.
