A letter purported to be written by L and T Metro Rail Corporation CMD Vivek Gadgil expressing the company’s inability to continue with the prestigious Metro rail project has created waves in Hyderabad and Telangana While the eight page letter, leaked to a section of media, raised questions about cost escalation and project viability.

In the wake of the letter Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy had emergency meetings with chief secretary Rajiv Sharma and chief minister KCR.  Later metro officials have clarified that there are no obstacles for Hyderabad metro rail project and asked the public not to worry about the rumors coming on the project.

However, they admitted that there are some problems in the implementation of the project Meanwhile IT minister and KCR son KTR sees a conspiracy on the reports.He alleged that the opposition trying to derail the project and to tarnish the image of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government., K. Tarakarama Rao said the chief minister would soon respond on the issue.  

He said that the timing of the media reports that comes along with Medak by-elections verdict might be some conspiracy to divert the peoples’ attention from the grand victory of ruling TRS party.Other side Opposition Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) alleged that due to the pressure mounted by the chief minister, L&T was planning to pull out of the project
