Two decade old politician CK Babu alias Jayachandra Reddy in Chittoor district has been struggling to face the challenges in this generation. He lost his significance in Municipal elections in Chittoor. CK was resigned for the Congress party and set his own panel for Municipal elections. He has field his wife Lavanya as Mayor Nominee and also his followers for the Corporation.

After that he joined in YSRCP but fails to get Assembly Ticket to contest from Chittoor Segment. Jagan prefers Jangalapalle Srinivasulu to CK Babu in this regard. Reportedly, Jagan gave assurance of nominated post after he comes to the power. CK was tried his level best for his wife victory. She lost to TDP nominee Srikanth who is novice to the politics. As per buzz, CK was wrongly selected the Segment for his wife. Anti-incumbency has worked out well against CK in the elections.

CK enters into politics as an independent in 1989 elections and was elected twice in 1994 and 1999 as Congress Nominee. Later, party was suspended him for the involvement in murder case. He again joined in Congress and won in 2009 elections over TDP and PRP with slight margin. It was surprising for all after he fails to bail out his wife from a ward. His political career is comes to an end temporarily.
