On the last day of Telangana’s first Assembly session, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao moved a resolution paying tributes to the T-martyrs who made the statehood dream a reality. “This House is paying rich tributes to T-martyrs (369 people in 1969 and 1200 people between 2009-2014) who sacrificed their lives. May their souls rest in peace! Praying God for it!!,” he said.
Congress legislator Chinna Reddy stated he is wholeheartedly supporting the resolution moved by KCR on behalf of his party. He alleged late YSR is an anti-Telanganite and the Former CM himself shared with him that he doesn’t was state to be bifurcated. He added, ‘Even if Sonia was keen on declaring T before 2009 Polls, YSR wasn’t in favor of it and hence the decisions delayed.’
Apart from expressing support to the resolution, TDP MLA Revanth Reddy demanded TRS Government to declare Srikanth Chary’s death day as T-Martyrs Memorial Day. This could be a reality if KCR implements this clap-worthy proposal.
