The Tamil version of SS Rajamouli’s Eega, Naan Ee had equally made a merry in Tamil Nadu just as Telugu version did in AP. the Tamil version, Naan Ee and Telugu version Eega were ranked 1st and 3rd at Kollywood box office for the first week of its release. The movie also had the benefit of having no competition from Tamil movies during the first week of its release. 

But Ajith’s Billa-2 is releasing today had finally ended the honeymoon of Eega in Tamil Nadu. All most all the multiplexes in Tamil Nadu are screening record number of shows for Billa-2 and Naan Ee was pushed to second rung theaters. Trade experts believe that Eega might get few screens back after the first weekend of Billa-2.
