AP Agriculture Budget 2014 Highlights

Andhra Pradesh today presented a Rs.13,108 crore special agriculture budget with an specific allocation of Rs.5000 crore towards the farm loan waiver and a non-plan expenditure of Rs. 6,373 crore.

Presenting the budget in the assembly today the agriculture minister P Pulla Rao said farming will be made profitable during the TDP regime and villages will be transformed from the erstwhile dormant economic zones into a vibrant growth engines.

Main components were Rs.3188 crore for free power to farmers and Rs.1349 crore to link agriculture with MNREGS so that the farmers input cost will come down as farm labor for harvesting and other operations are covered under the employment guarantee program.

Highlights of the AP agriculture budget are

* Total Agri budget Rs.13,108 crore
