Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao used to make pungent comments against anti-Telangana leaders in the Congress and the Telugu Desam Parties during the movement for separate state.

Very often, even these leaders used to attack KCR in strongest terms. Not only that, they used to resort to violent attacks on the Telangana forces and some of them even strongly opposed bifurcation of combined state.

People still remember how Telangana leaders like Danam Nagender and Mukesh Goud chased the TRS activists when they staged a dharna at their residences. Danam even wielded a lathi and roughed up the Telangana activists.

The Congress leaders Konda Murali and his wife Konda Surekha from Warangal never took part in Telangana movement. Instead, they got the TRS activists fired at in Mahabubabad railway station.

Then Telangana TDP leaders like Talasani Srinivas Yadav threatened to strip KCR and chase him out of Hyderabad for giving a call “Telangana Jago, Andhra wale Bhago.”

And Tummala Nageshwara Rao even submitted a note to Sri Krishna Commission, opposing Telangana formation.

Now, all these forces have become close associates of KCR. Talasani and Tummala have become ministers in KCR cabinet enjoying a lot of clout.

Leaders like Kadiyam Srihari, who never participated in Telangana movement, is wielding big power. So is the case with many other anti-Telangana leaders who are now playing a key role in the TRS.

And now, with Danam is getting a rousing reception into the TRS, KCR has once again proved that his fight for Telangana was only to get into power and not to keep the anti-Telangana forces at bay!
