Inexperience of YSR Congress is clearly evident in the municipal polls. The party had faced its first defeat in terms on Municipal Polls after thumping victories in bi-elections riding on sympathy wave. TDP had won more than thrice the number of municipalities than YSR Congress and it conquered the YS Family forte Kadapa by bagging four municipalities.
But this was not at all defeat of YSRCP but the hype of the TDP favored media according to YSRCP leaders. Despite of analyzing the root level reasons for defeat in municipals YSRCP leaders came up with mudslinging activity on media and claimed that no one is highlighting their victory in municipal elections.
YSRCP spokesperson Gattu addressed media and blamed media for not advertising their results. He pointed out that despite lack of strong cadre, YSRCP got good results and expressed regret that the media was not highlighting this achievement and making negative comments instead. Gattu pointed out the role of yellow media in influencing the voter opinion.
There was barely 4 per cent difference in the votes polled, said Gattu by adding that the results did not include all the voters in Seemandhra. He concluded by saying that their party will meet on May 16 th to decide if Jagan has to be made the CM. Other side YSRCP cadre has pinned high hopes on ZPTC and MPTC results but the irony is no one here to pump in confidence in the cadre as the party high command was busy with spending holidays.
