A local court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against screenwriter and Telugu movie director K V Vijayendra Prasad, father of noted film director S S Rajamouli, in connection with a cheque bounce case.The court issued the warrant when the script writer failed to appeared before it in a cheque bounce case filed against him by producer and YCP leader Chengala Venkata Rao.
There was a long standing dispute between Chngala and Prasad regarding providing of a story and script from Vijayendra Prasad for which the amount is paid by Venkat Rao dating to the times of Junior NTR ‘Narasimhudu’.Vijayendra Prasad had taken Rs 60 lakh from Chengala Venkata Rao for writing a script. He did not keep his word and promised give him the money with interest. Vijayendra Prasad handed him two cheques of Andhra Bank, each bearing a sum of Rs 30 lakh. Venkata Rao filed cheating case and two cheque bounce cases against Rajamoul’s father when the both cheques bounced.
Although industry people tried to solve the issue amicably nothing of such happened and finally, Venkat Rao knocked court doors. Keeping in mind the fame of Rajamouli, his father should be careful as these things will spoil Rajamouli without his concern.Police are getting ready to arrest Vijayendraprasad according to film nagar sources.Hope Rajamouli will bail out his father.
