Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandra Babu Naidu on Sunday called on MPs of all parties ahead of Lok Sabha session. Chandra Babu wanted to discuss with MPs of the State about their stance in Lok Sabha in bringing “funds” to State from Centre. Only Congress MPs like Subbarami Reddy (Rajya Sabha) and BJP MPs were present while YSR Congress MPs chose to skip the significant meeting.
AP State government representative at Centre, Kambhampati Rammohan Rao accused, “Everyone has come expect YSRCP MPs. This clearly shows that they’re against to development of State. All they want is to politicize each and every issue.”
Kambhampati said, “Chandra Babu has asked all MPs to act in unison in Lok Sabha for getting things from State as our State has lost everything in bifurcation. Centre hasn’t allotted any substantial finance assistance although it assured. We also discussed to demand Centre to set up educational institutions, research centres in Seemandhra as early as possible.”
Blaming YSRCP MPs, Kambhampati said, “We should learn from Tamil Nadu MPs who shed their political rivalry and fight for their State when needed.” It is learnt that Chandra Babu told MPs to act cutting across party lines and assured them of holding such meeting once in every month.
