Ever since Jagan came out of Congress and floated his own party, allegations started flowing in that at one time or the other he will merge his party with Cong. His opponents claim that Jagan’s ultimate aim is to become the CM of AP and if Cong promises that post he will immediately disband his party. Even when Jagan was sent to jail, there were consultations during presidential polls with MIM leader Owaisi who is said to be close to Jagan and Cong turning mediator. The suspicions grew with Jagan in a interview with leading national channel outrightly ruled out the possibility of supporting BJP led NDA, thus revealing his true intentions.
The action of Cong is also not above suspicions as it is not taking any strong action against YSR supporters though many are advocating for stringent measures. Infact yesterday all the top brass attended the launch of YSR book organized by KVP and sang praises of the leader. Even YSRCP leader Vijayamma in her media interactions when specifically asked whether the party will support Cong, she did not rule out the possibility but just said that there is lot of time and decision can be taken as and when it arises. However she gave subtle hints as to what to come in future as she recollected the statement of Jagan that he won’t join hands with BJP. It has to be seen how people react to all this.
