YSRCP party’s official spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao has reportedly said that the results in municipal elections in no way indicate a negative vote against Jagan Mohan Reddy and his charisma.

He mentioned that their party had already anticipated a pro-TDP vote in urban region but expressed confidence that the pattern will certainly be different for the crucial Assembly and the Lok Sabha seats. He laid the blame squarely on yellow media which he said had been influencing the voter opinion.

He also justified that they had mobilized party cadre only recently. The YSRCP is banking strongly on the rural voter base for the assembly elections.

Jagan has done many road shows for months together and he never missed any urban region during his tour but sources say that the party is putting a brave front so as to not lose any morale at this critical juncture.
