TDP leader Jupudi Prabhakar Rao has lashed out at YSRCP saying that the main opposition party in the state is shamefully celebrating the news of centre’s denial to accord the special status to Andhra Pradesh. Soon after minister Inderjit Singh’s speech in Lok Sabha, YSRCP arranged a press meet condemning the centre’s decision and also attacked TDP, alleging its failure to convince the centre.

Jupudi said that the special status is still under the purview of the centre and that YSRCP has already started to accuse TDP, suggesting it not to share the cabinet with BJP. Jupudi further said that YSRCP seems to be silently celebrating the centre’s denial to grant the special status and is falsely dreaming of victory in the next elections, cashing in on the Special Status issue.

Jupudi also said that TDP is still in its pursuit to convince BJP and that Venkaiah Naidu has no where said that special status has been denied. The TDP leader further accused YSRCP of conspiring with neighboring states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, who have been dead against special status to AP.

Jupudi then stated that the AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will go to any extremes to convince the Modi government in favour of granting AP its special status.
