Roping in bigger star-cast is always big for any story which will not be looking its worth when made with not-so-popular celebrities. We are hearing a lot about ‘Manam’ being missed by some other Tollywood heroes and now Bollywood’s biggies planning to do it. Will it work in the same way if it is not for Akkinenis?

It is already known that Bollywood is keen to remake epic emotional saga ‘Manam’ with its finest brigade. With ANR, Nagarjuna and Chaitu playing lead roles in Telugu, b-town is eyeing Amitabh, Amir Khan and Ranbir playing those characters. Can they repeat the same magic? Firstly, audiences got well connected to this movie due to the fact that ANR, Nag and Chaitu are real-life father-sons. Also when Nag is shown as son of Chaitu and ANR as Nag’s son, the portrayal created a sort of unknown pleasure in minds of audiences. Also naming each other with their father’s name is another stunner.

In Bollywood this kind of correlation will not occur if Big B, Amir and Ranbir don the lead roles, though the story is quite appealing. Many observers feel that ‘Manam’ is tailor-made for a family like Akkinenis but not for individual actors. Isn’t it?
