After demolishing 24 unauthorized buildings in Ayyappa Society on the land that belongs to the Gurukul Ghatkesar Trust, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao’s next target appears to be the illegal constructions of famous tollywood celebrities.
The government which shook actor Nagarjuna over illegal land encroachment is now eyeing celebrities who have misused the lands allotted to them for non filmy purposes. Earlier governments had allotted lands to various tollywood celebrities at nominal prices to help the expansion of film industry in Hyderabad. The condition of land allotments is to use the lands exclusively for film related things.
But some of them violated the rules and used the land to built commercial establishments.Prominent director Raghavendra Rao also got land from government and he built Cinemax theaters at the land allotted to them in Road No.2, Banjara Hills.
According to reliable sources, notices will be issued to Raghavendra rao with a 10-day time frame to respond on charges of allegedly constructing an entertainment-cum-commercial complex by violating the rules. The officials of Hyderabad district administration are preparing to send show cause notices and that follows with the demolition of illegal constructions.
Raghavendra Rao was TDP’s publicity wing incharge and headed the film development corporation in the past. His proximity with Chandrababu is only too well-known. It remains to be seen whether Chandrababu Naidu come in to the rescue of Raghavendra Rao.
