The government of Andhra Pradesh is swiftly acting to restore the normal condition in the cyclone hit areas. 500 field staff, 100 engineers have been deputed specially for round-the-clock to restore normalcy in cyclone-hit areas in Visakhapatnam. “Working to restore Vizag airport by tonight,” assured Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu on Monday. Vizag airport is one of the most affected areas yet Naidu is firm on restoring the airport on war footing measure.
Meanwhile, government has increased the help for victims, households. For fisherman and weavers whose work have been affected, AP government has come forwarded to give 5 litres of kerosene, 50 kg of rice, and 1 kg of sugar. “Each affected family will receive 25 kg of rice, 1 kg of sugar and 5 litres of kerosene,” said a statement from State government of AP.
