Venkaiaha said that the adjoin, neighbour cities will be connected to these smart cities and develop infrastructure in all the towns, cities. Venkaiaha is expecting that half of the Indian population will shift their base to cities by 2050. Inorder to meet those requirements, needs and development of roads and infrastructure, he said he is going to bring new programme that is going to replace the existing Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), UPA’s flagship programme.
