YSR Congress honorary president Vijayamma and the party�s MLAs ended their fast on Sunday morning at the NIMS hospital. Senior journalist Potturi Venkateswara Rao and Venkata Ramaiah, a farmer from Railway Koduru of Kadapa district gave lime juice to them and made them end their five day fast.
It may be mentioned that Vijayamma and the MLAs have been fasting protesting against the hike in power tariff. Speaking on the occasion, Vijayamma said despite ending their fast, the agitation against power tariff would continue. Police had earlier arrested Vijayamma and the MLAs at 12-20, past midnight on Saturday. They were shifted to the NIMS hospital.
