‘Union Minister Chiranjeevi faced the wrath of a voter as he tried to jump the queue to cast his vote’ – This is the headline in most of the leading dailies, electronic & web media on Wednesday as Telangana participated in the 7th Phase of Polling.

However, There are several untold facts behind here and one has to accept the reality that Chiranjeevi was blamed for no reason. Director Teja who was in the queue line when Chiranjeevi came to vote narrated the entire sequence of incidents.

Teja: “Chiranjeevi came to the polling booth along with his family and stood in the queue just like any other common man. Only after few people in the queue and media persuaded him to go ahead directly, The Union Minister and his family tried to jump the queue. Spotting this, An NRI objected the VIP treatment and Chiru came back to join the queue.”

In fact, Chiranjeevi need to be appreciated for respecting the views of a voter and joining the queue. But, Media has blown the entire issue out of proportion. This is what happens when journos crave for Sensationalism or TRPs instead of focusing on reporting actual facts.
