Above all, Malkajgiri Parliament seat is said to be the hot-cake with popular leaders like Lok Satta Jayaprakash Narayan, Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan eyeing the seat. Already, Lok Satta has announced JP’s candidature from the area and party workers have kick started rallying for JP. On other hand, although Pawan Kalyan hasn’t confirmed whether he is contesting this elections or not, buzz has it that Pawan is keen to contest from Malkajgiri. And Pawan Kalyan do have strong numbers. In 2009, PRP garnered over 2.4 Lakh votes in the constituency. Hence, Pawan is of the opinion that he could secure more votes this time around and win this seat. The two Titans Lok Satta Jayaprakash Narayan and Pawan Kalyan are vying for same seat and said to be in no mood to give up.
And the case is no different in TDP, BJP. Senior TDP leaders from Telangana Revanth Reddy, Erraballi Dayakar Rao are showing interest to contest from this constituency. T-leaders are putting pressure on Chandra Babu to allot the seat to Telangana leaders. Meanwhile, BJP is eyeing same Malkajgiri Parliament seat. The Party has got over 1 Lakh votes in 2009 and claim they may win this time if they’re given seat.
If JP has to forego Malkajgiri, he may contest from Ongole Parliament rnwhere JP served as collector and got good fame. But there is severe rncompetition for Ongole, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Vijajyawada seats from rnother senior leaders of all four parties. So, as of now tug-of-war over 5 Parliament seats continue in to-be-formed Maha Kutami 2 (Grand Alliance) and all eyes are on Malkajgiri.
