Continuing his stern stand towards outsourcing and H-1B visa holders, US president-elect Donald Trump reiterated that he would not allow foreign workers on H-1B visa replacing native American workers in US companies.
“We will fight to protect every last American life,” Trump told while addressing a large group of his supporters in Iowa while referring to the cases of Disney world and other US companies, where workers, including Indians, hired on H-1B visas replaced US workers.
In January 2015, Disney laid off 250 tech workers at Walt Disney World, Orlando. Recently, two of former technology staff of Disney World slapped a federal lawsuit on Disney World and two IT companies HCL Inc and Cognizant Technologies, alleging that they ‘conspired to displace American workers’ with cheaper foreign labour, mostly from India, brought to the US on H-1B visas.
Trump also stood form on his earlier announcement of building a wall along the Mexico border. “We will put an end to illegal immigration and stop the drugs from pouring into our country, the drugs are pouring into our country, poisoning our youth and plenty of other people,” Trump said.
