Division of Rajya Sabha Members between AP and Telangana solved with lottery system. KK and other Telangana members argued not to go for lottery system and demand for change in the act for the division. 11 Members are from Andhra Pradesh and 7 from Telangana. Even though some of the members have objected this, Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari divided 18 Rajya Sabha Members with lottery.

In this lottery, 4 Telangana MPs assigned to Andhra Pradesh and 2 AP MPs assigned to Telangana. KK (TRS), MA Khan, Renuka Chowdary (Congress) and Devendar Gowd (TDP) assigned to AP. Along with them, Chiranjeevi, Sujana Chowdary, Jai Ram Ramesh, Seetha Maha Lakshmi, TSR and JD Seelam also assigned to AP. CM Ramesh (TDP) and KVP (Congress) assigned to Telangana. Gundu,(TDP) Palwai (Congress), Rapolu (Congress), Garikapati (TDP) and VH (Congress) assigned to Telangana. As per rules RS members will spend their funds to their respective states.

Hamid Ansari assured to cross changing members for the amendment of the constitution to spend their funds as per their wish. It’s interesting to see TRS MP (KK) in AP quota. All Congress MPs that are assigned to AP have no chance to elect again from AP because Congress has no strength to win RS seat.
