2014 is turning out to be most memorable year for senior Telugu actors or say veteran heroes. The year has given good and encouraging results for all of them.

Balakrishna is first senior hero to attain success with Legend, Nagarjuna scored career biggest blockbuster with Manam and Venkatesh has all smiles for Drishyam’s dream run at box office. Most importantly, all these successes came at a time when the actors were anxious waiting for break.

Balakrishna’s last few films were duds and Legend was released just few days before to elections. The Boyapati directorial was well received by fans and helped Balakrishna in winning Hindupur constituency with decent majority. Now, Balakrishna is in good position to experiment. He will be seen as CBI officer in new film tentatively titled Godse.
Last year, Nagarjuna was in a position to fulfill his father ANR’s dream of making Akineni multistarrer and to attain a good hit for himself and for his son Naga Chaitanya. Nag and family have put all other assignments aside to concentrate fully on Manam. His hard work didn’t go vain. Manam opened to positive mouth talk and has collected around Rs 38 crore shares for full run.
