Good publicity could make a flop movie become an average one, an average may turn as a hit. In this regard, our Tollywood actors should learn a lot from Bollywood stars. Hindi stars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and others start promoting their movies almost a month before to release. They attend press meets, travel to key areas and even won’t bother making hulchul in shopping malls and other public places to endorse their films.
Coming to Tollywood, audio launch is the biggest promoting platform where Telugu filmmakers are spending huge money. Skits are performed on stages and we get a chance to see stars together at these public events. Other than this, actors are attending one or two press meets and one or two promotional events as they feel it as a time waste process.
When Bollywood stars who are making Rs 400 crore business are keeping their egoes aside to promote their movies by traveling on metro trains, roaming on streets, what’s the problem with our Tollywood stars. If our Telugu heroes change their mindset, Tollywood business will enlarge to other regions at least in South India and overseas. Trends have changed, so industry and our heroes need to follow them.
