It’s a temporary relief for director Ram Gopal Varma who is alleged to have made “offensive” comments against Lord Ganesha. The High Court Judicature in Hyderabad has stayed further proceedings against RGV in a case filed against him in Saroornagar police station. 

Mr Varma has approached High Court and appealed to him that his comments were not “intentional” and he said that he had already apologised for the comments if it had hurt anyone. After hearing to Varma’s appeal, Justice Raja Elango of the Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday granted stay for two weeks. 

Police had registered case against Varma, under several sections, in Saroornagar police station following a complaint by Mr Karuna Sagar, an advocate, for making controversial comments on Lord Ganesha.
