Yesteryear heroine Nagma alias Nandita Arvind Morarji has lost in the Lok Sabha Elections 2014. The Gharana Mogudu beauty showed up a dismal performance ever as she got only 13, 222 votes and confined to fifth position. Whereas her BJP counterpart Rajendra Agarwal secured 1,67,298 votes and emerged as the winner while BSP and SP candidates got 91,894 and 64,001 votes respectively and stood in second, third positions respectively.
Nagma and Congress thought that her glam doll image alone would give her a cakewalk victory but Meerut people thought other way around. Nagma was the centre of attraction in Meerut during the elections as she was surrounded by many controversies including mobbed by people, allegedly molested by a Congress MLA. Nagma even claimed that there was no Narendra Modi wave in country during the campaigning but later bore the brunt as whole India gave BJP a thumping victory. Political observers opine that it’s time for Nagma to go back to films!
