Telangana government is playing intelligent game with the center over the ban of TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothy channels. Secretary of Union ministry of information and broadcasting to the government and Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Information and broadcasting to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao to respond in this issue and make sure the channels telecast is restored in the state.
The TRS government wrote a letter to the ministry saying that is has no role in the ban. It also informed the ministry that the state government only deals with the issue of advertisements to the electronic media to educate the people on the welfare and development activities of the government. The other duty of the government is to issue accreditation to electronic and print media journalists. The government has cleared that they are having no say over other aspects.
