With this a rebellion is brewing internally within TDP which may head towards break up in alliance. Ever since TDP stitched an alliance with BJP in Seemandhra earlier this month, there has been growing dissent in TDP over losing out important seats. Even senior most leader and former Home Minister Kodela Siva Prasad has to lose Narasaraopet Assembly ticket to BJP and forced him to move to Sattenapalli Assembly constituency. That’s not all. TDP is miffed with the intervention of Sangh Parivar and RSS in allotting tickets to BJP’s leaders.
As part of the pre-poll alliance, TDP offered 14 MLA seats, 4 Lok Sabha seats and two MLC seats to its partner BJP. Fact of the matter is that BJP has weak cadre and zero chances of winning seats in Seemandhra. TDP is now mulling over its options in Seemandhra. However, nothing has been finalized. BJP senior leaders are worried over Chandra Babu’s latest move. We hear that BJP leaders are holding back talks with Babu. On flip side, since even nominations schedule is finished in Telangana, TDP-BJP alliance may not have much affect in Telangana. Let’s wait and watch.
