Telangana CM Chandrasekhar is the first Telangana citizen enumerated for the integrated household survey at his camp office this morning. Rao along with his family members replied to all queries of the GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar who himself act as enumerator, and set an example for the sincerity and integrity of the survey and to remove any misgivings about its purpose.
In all 3.7 lakh enumerators have spread across the state to make home visits and surveys with nearly 89 lakh families all over Telangana. State government has declared today as official public holiday and also brought it under national instruments act. ‘A huge Rs.20 crore is being spent in the survey whose purpose is just to ensure that all the benefits of government welfare measures reached the real and genuine beneficiaries.
KCR made a fervent appeal in a statement last night to people to not miss the opportunity in getting govt benefits by avoiding the survey. Investigations have thrown up huge corruption and bogus activity in housing, ration cards, arogyasree and tuition fee reimbursements’ said a release from CMO.
