It is known that a new controversy is brewing with the Telangana CM KCR announcing the removal of certain statues on Tank Bund as they do not belong to the Telangana roots. We already mentioned that nearly 23 out of the 33 statues would be plucked and shifted to Andhra Pradesh. This has not gone too well with the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.

Sharing his thoughts with the media, Naidu condemned the proposal and added that he will put up the statues of the legendary personalities from Telangana region in Andhra Pradesh. 

Now, KCR’s intent is to add more value to the essence of Telangana by erecting statues of the new state’s literary and popular figures. On the other hand, Naidu’s intent is more to do with the history of Telugus on a whole. While the CMs of both states have their point of view which is justified, what supersedes them is the feeling of the Telugu people and what their emotions are about the whole issue. It is important that the issue settles amicably and does not aggravate leading to further swollen hearts.

Be it AP on Telangana, both the states belong to Telugus and their cultural pride. Let us wish both the CMs come to a peaceful conclusion.
