It seems that director Surendar Reddy has learnt from his past mistake and loaded his film “Racegurram’ with lot of entertainment and scored over his colleague Boyapati in few ways. Director Surender Reddy returned to his Kick days and screenplay is packed with comedians and cheeky humour, whereas but Boyapati stuck to the serious mood in Legend and lost out on children audience, says a source (considering summer holidays). Even though, both the films expected to cross 40- crores, but Kick director, cashed in on Allu Arjun flamboyant personality and pranks, but Boyapati relied solely on the angry-image of Balakrishna and restricted his viewers.

Surendar was careful in choosing gorgeous actress Shruti and made the love angle rock and exploited Brahmi to the hilt, while Boyapati preferred lesser-known heroines and even Brahmi’s talent wasn’t used because he wanted to ride on the image of Balakrishna and nothing more. However, Boyapati scored with his villain- as Jagapathi Babu looked more menacing than Siva Reddy in Raccuguram.

Even though, Legend is boasting of repeat audience, but the fun-filled entertainer Race gurram, looks to be attract families in large number in April to set a new collection record. Surender also scored in attracting overseas audience with a roaring entertainer, while Boyapati, succeeded only to some extent. It also evident that Surendar has more flair for comedy than Boyapati that helped him to make a comeback in a big way. So the verdict, is Reddy galloped ahead of Boyapati in 2014 box office race.
