Senior leader in Indian politics, former Defence Minister Jaswant Singh’s condition is said to be seirous. Mr Jaswant is currently put on ventilator support in Intensive Care Unit at Army Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi. The 76-year-old had suffered severe head injury after he has reportedly fell down at his residence on Thursday late night. He was admitted to the hospital at 11 PM and was operated at 2 AM on Friday.

His condition remains critical, according to medical reports. Mr Jaswant had held important portfolios like Finance, Defence and External Affairs. He was expelled from BJP after he chose to contest 2014 Lok Sabha polls as independent in Rajasthan against to party’s candidate. Mr Jaswant had lost the election. Veteran BJP leader LK Advani has visited Mr Jaswant in hospital on Friday.
